The 1729 Society
Honoring Lancaster’s Legacy of Justice
The 1729 Society was created to honor the founding of the Lancaster County Court System in 1729 and to celebrate the centuries-long tradition of leadership, service, and community commitment demonstrated by members of the Lancaster legal community.
Through membership in the 1729 Society, donors help ensure that the Lancaster Law Foundation can continue to advance access to justice, civic education, and community service for generations to come.
Our Purpose
The 1729 Society recognizes individuals whose generosity strengthens the Foundation’s ability to serve Lancaster County. Contributions fund critical programs, including annual community grants, public education efforts, projects like the Comfort Rooms at the Lancaster County Courthouse, and initiatives that expand access to justice for all members of our community.
By joining the 1729 Society, you stand among those who believe in giving back to the community that has given so much to the legal profession.
