Event Description
Currently, the job market remains white hot for employees. That includes attorneys and law firm staff. Of course, that’s not-so-great news for law firm owners, who must be at the top of their game, if they want to acquire and maintain the best talent. Right now, the biggest problem for many law firms is not case acquisition – it’s talent acquisition.
As alluded to, this is a two-part issue. The first involves finding staff to begin with. And, before you even broach that subject, you’ll need to know how much work you have available, and how much you can pay. Once that’s settled, you’ll need to effectively advertise a position – and, you may also have to get a little more aggressive than you think, in seeking out potential fits. The second part of this process is actually keeping the good people you hire on your staff. Especially for younger employees: feedback, incentives and non-monetary benefits are more important than ever. So, you need to start thinking differently about what motivates your team.
Join us for this impactful program, during which we’ll offer up tips for finding the right attorneys and support staff and keeping them around.
Specific topics to be addressed include:
-creating job descriptions and job postings
-advertising for new hires
-selecting candidates
-building benefits and an incentive plan
