Event Description
Attorneys regularly encounter clients and opposing parties whose behavior can escalate conflict, complicate decision making, and impact case outcomes. In this program, a practicing psychiatrist will examine the social, psychological, and historical factors associated with dysfunctional relationships and intimate partner violence, with a focus on identifying key behavioral red flags. Beyond understanding victim dynamics, this session will offer practical, clinically informed strategies for recognizing and working with high conflict individuals. Participants will gain insight into how these behaviors present in legal settings, how to avoid unintentionally escalating situations, and how to navigate complex cases with greater awareness and control. This program is designed to provide attorneys with a more complete, practice-focused framework for managing difficult interpersonal dynamics and achieving more stable, client-centered outcomes.
