Event Description

The CLE training by Digital Trace Forensics, LLC, led by Jeremy Gibson, focuses on the use of 2D and 3D demonstrative aids in civil and criminal matters. The course reviews several cases in which demonstrative aids and forensic animation contributed to favorable outcomes. Additionally, it introduces applicable case law, limitations, and rules of admissibility.

Jeremy Gibson
Owner/Lead Developer of Digital Trace Forensics, LLC

Jeremy Gibson founded JRG Designs in Rochester, NY (2002) and developed demonstrative aids for civil litigation and construction related claims. Gibson sold the company after he was offered a position with a San Francisco firm that focused on federal litigation. Gibson routinely traveled to Washington, D.C. to develop demonstrative aids for cases involving high profile clients such as SanDisk and Crocs. In 2008, Gibson relocated to his wife’s hometown of State College, PA to start their family. After working privately with local law enforcement on many computer and cellphone forensic related investigations, Gibson accepted a position with the State College Police Department where he was later promoted to Detective.

Gibson created Digital Trace Forensics, LLC after realizing the demand for civil and criminal demonstrative aids was expanding. He spent 10 years with the SCPD before parting to focus on the growth of Digital Trace Forensics, LLC. Gibson has been afforded expert witness status in several counties throughout the Commonwealth of PA regarding Computer Generated Animation (CGA) and homicide re-enactment.
