Steve’s practice is focused on personal injury, civil litigation and insurance claims. His emphasis is the representation of victims of automobile, truck, motorcycle, bus, pedestrian and ride share accidents. An experienced trial attorney, Steve has tried cases in both state and federal court for more than three decades. He has represented individuals in complex civil litigation, and personal injury cases involving catastrophic injuries and death.
Steve is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, and the Lancaster and Pennsylvania Bar Associations. He is admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar, and is also admitted to practice in US District Court, Eastern and Middle Districts of PA, as well as the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
Steve graduated magna cum laude from the University of Richmond in 1980 and the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Law in 1983. He is a former law clerk to the Honorable D. Richard Eckman, President Judge of the Court of Common Pleas of Lancaster County. Steve served as the solicitor for the Metropolitan Lancaster Water Authority, and as a member of the Lancaster City Planning Commission, and the Lancaster County Board of Elections.
Steve is the board chair of the Conestoga Valley Educational Foundation, a past-president and board member of Lancaster Health Center, and a past president of Southeast Lancaster Sertoma Club. Steve has also served on the boards of Community Services of Lancaster, and the Urban League of Lancaster. For many years, Steve was also a big brother with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Lancaster, and a coach of the Eden Manor swim team. He is a former Sertoman of the Year, a winner of the Apex Award for Board Excellence and Service from Pennsylvania Association of Community Health Centers, and a Distinguished Alumni of Conestoga Valley High School. Steve lives in Lancaster with his wife, Sharon. They are the proud parents of two adult children, a daughter, Sarah, and a son, Thomas.
