The York County District Attorney’s Office is seeking applicants to fill a Deputy Prosecutor position. The York County District Attorney is the chief law enforcement officer for the county. Prosecution of all felony, misdemeanor and summary offenses is coordinated through the attorneys and staff within the office. The team of employees handles approximately 12,000 new cases every year. York County District Attorney’s Office works in conjunction with a number of county, state and federal agencies to promote a safe environment for the citizens of York County. Candidates for the position must have excellent communication and writing skills. The position will require daily court appearances. It is expected that the applicant will be a team player. Applicants must have a Juris Doctorate degree, be a licensed attorney in good standing with the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, possess a valid driver’s license and pass a background investigation. Applicants who have not received their Pennsylvania bar exam results may be interviewed but will not be offered a position unless they have become a licensed attorney in Pennsylvania.
