Free legal service in limited civil areas is provided by MidPenn Legal Service for clients who qualify within specific income guidelines.  Cases handled fall primarily within the following categories:

  1. Custody/Visitation
  2. Support
  3. Bankruptcy
  4. Landlord/Tenant
  5. General Civil Litigation – Trespass/Assumpsit actions at district justice and common pleas level
  6. Appeals from driver’s license suspensions
  7. Adoptions
  8. Termination or modification of workers’ compensation
  9. School related problems – Expulsions, suspensions, special education

As one of the first accredited providers of Continuing Legal Education in Pennsylvania, the Lancaster Bar Association and the Lancaster Bar Association Foundation remain committed to presenting high quality, timely CLE seminars at a convenient location. Lawyer Referral Service

Through the LBA’s Lawyer Referral Service, those who need an attorney are referred to a lawyer who can handle their legal problems.
